Makeup On a Budget: Kat Von D Tattoo Concealer vs. Hard Candy Glamoflauge
Since my Makeup On a Budget videos have been so successful, I’ve decided to to blog posts as well.
The Kat Von D Tattoo Concealer has been my go to heavy duty concealer that will cover everything from minor undereye circles and blemishes to scars and tattoos for quite some time now. It has a very thick, creamy consistency that blends well with both fingers and brushes. It also has a wide variety of shades, including a great selection of fair shades - which is perfect for those looking to conceal imperfections that aren’t on the face (as our body generally tends to be a different shade than our face.) However, with a $25 price tag and being available at Sephora exclusively, this product isn’t readily accessible for those beauty addicts who are on a budget.

This is where Hard Candy Glamoflauge comes in. While I do consider Glamoflauge to be a pretty exact dupe for the KVD, it does have a few downsides. It only comes in three shades - light, medium, and dark - and it’s only available at Wal-Mart. If you can get over that, though, then you’re in luck. With the same heavy duty, creamy consistency, this concealer flawlessly covers blemishes, undereye circles, acne scarring, and dark tattoos. The Hard Candy also comes with a concealer pencil, to outline such things as tattoos to allow for fuller coverage and perfect blending. Glamoflauge retails for around $6, which is a great price for the punch that this product packs. Overall, I would reccomend this product to everyone - not just people on a budget! 8 out of 10!
